| In 10:65s Two-shot – Eddie Greer (left of screen) and Dozier standing in “bad office:” small desk with a computer on top, and an inflexible wooden chair. Also see to the right a classroom-style chair with desk attached. Dozier moves to her right towards the wooden chair. Super: Eddie Greer, ASSE President Out 13:21s |
(Narration: Greer) This is your typical desk chair. Unfortunately, it is badly designed. |
In 13:22s CU – Dozier sitting in “bad chair” at “bad desk.” Out 14:22s |
(SOT: Dozier) How so? |
In 14:23s XCU – Greer speaking towards Dozier’s direction. Out 17:70s |
(SOT: Greer) You may feel comfortable now, but try sitting in it for eight hours a day, five days a week. |
In 17:71s Two-shot – Greer remains in same position as last shot and Dozier is also seen on-camera sitting in the chair Out 19:71s |
(Greer continued) You would begin to feel the negative effects of this kind of pressure. |
In 19:72s CU – Computer screen at the desk where Dozier has been sitting. On the screen is a colorful diagram of the insides of a back: muscles, ligaments, tendons, and bones included. Out 24:72s |
(Narration: Dozier) Musculoskeletal Disorder, or MSD, is a common but often ignored disorder. Sufferers usually do not find a source to blame their pain on. |
In 24:73s Graphic – diagram of back muscles previously seen on the computer screen. Super: Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSD) In 24:73s -pain in muscles, ligaments, tendons, or bones In 27:73s -wear and tear from daily activities In 31:73s -#1 occupational safety and health problem Out 36:73s |
(Dozier continued) It is characterized by pain in muscles, ligaments, tendons, or bones. MSD is caused by the wear and tear of daily activities. For example, sitting in an uncomfortable desk chair. The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health says MSD is the number one problem in the workplace. |

(Dozier continued) the armrests |
In 44:12s XCU – five-star point base of same chair. It has wheels and is resting on the floor. Out 46:42s |
(Dozier continued)They should be supported by a five-point star base. |
In 46:43s XCU – a pair of legs extending from the chair and tucked comfortably under the desk. They are women’s legs, presumably Dozier’s, crossed at the ankle and dressed in panty hose and black pumps. Out 49:63s |
(Dozier continued) Desks should be high enough to leave leg room for posture adjustments. |
In 49:64s XCU – two elbows resting comfortably at a 90-degree angle on the desk and extending towards the computer’s keyboard. They are a woman’s freshly manicured hands. Out 50:82s |
(Dozier continued) And they should allow for a 90-degree angle at the elbow. |
In 50:83s CU – Dozier’s head facing computer screen. Graphic of a yellow 20-degree angle made between the eyes and the top of computer display. Out 53:93s |
(Narration: Greer) The top of the computer display should be about 20 degrees below eye level. |
In 53:94s Two-shot – Dozier (to the left) and Greer shaking hands and smiling. Out 56:62s |
(SOT: Dozier) Thank you for giving us a tour, President Greer. (SOT: Greer) It was my pleasure. |
